Welspun Corp Limited has informed the Exchange vide its letter dated December 30, 2010 with reference to news reports, we wish to clarify that Welspun Corp has not acquired any stake in Leighton Contractors (India) Pvt. Ltd. Welspun Group through its closely held entity, Welspun Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd., has agreed to acquire 35% strategic stake in Leighton contractors (India) Pvt. Ltd., Leighton International's Indian operations. The proposed acquiring entity is privately held Company and not a part of any public listed entity of Welspun Group.
