Mumbai Chana futures continued to trade higher for the second straight day on National Commodity and Derivative Exchange (NCDEX) followedbyspeculative buying and firm advices from cash market.
Chana for February contract has trading at Rs. 2,294, up Rs. 13 per quintal. Earlier the contract has opened at Rs. 2,277 per quintal against previous close at Rs. 2,281 per quintal.
March chana posted gain of Rs. 2,339, up Rs. 10 per quintal with volume of 8,850 tons. Meanwhile, rest of the contract has surged in the range of Rs. 11-27 per quintal.
Cash chana rose by Rs 50 to Rs. 2,200-2,225 per quintal at the Lawrence Road of Delhi here Tuesday. The supply has shrinked to just 18-20 trucks at the market place.
