New Delhi, Apr 27 - Desi chana was called to open unchanged onsluggish tradeatLawrence Road Mandi here Friday.Thin demand in processed pulses is currentlyweighing on market outlook, traders remarked.
Though no trade took place till thisreport goes in,the Madhya Pradeshand Maharashtra-line desi chana got offered inrange of Rs. 2,325 and Rs. 2,500-2,525 per quintal amidst limited volume.
"Marginal upward movements on futures counters andarrival closing in on average numbers also failed to lift prices," a tradersaid.
An inflow of65-70 truckloads of desi chana arrived from Rajasthan-line today.The inflow from Rajasthan has been hovering close to around 80-90 trucks in recent sessions.Spot prices are seen to recover as stockists are showing interest in buying at current levels, brought down by recent falls, traders added.An average of 60-70 trucks are likely to arrive for the next 5-6 weeks in Delhi.Chana dal of average and bold quality also hovered steady at Rs. 2,550 and Rs. 2,750 per quintal respectively on thin trade.
