Mumbai, June 29- Mentha-oil futures surged today on MCX. June contract hit the upper circuit of 4% following strong buying. The huge jump noted in June futures led other contract higher as well

On MCX, Mentha-oil June contract traded at Rs.562 per kg with a gain of Rs.24.20 or 4.5%. July contract traded at Rs.516.90 per kg with a gain of Rs.1.30 while Aug. contract traded lower by Rs.2.10 at Rs.523.10 per kg after moving as high as Rs.528 per kg.

MCX warehouses on June 27 had Mentha-oil stock of 1,12,597 kg in demat stock and 8084 kg in processes.

Arrivals in Uttar Pradesh are lower than expected due to continuous rains. According to traders, arrivals have steadies around 1000-1200 drums in last few days.
