Mumbai - Guar seed and guar gum futures slipped during the early trade on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange [NCDEX], pressurized by speculative selling and profit booking in the market Monday.
Demat stock of guar seed at the NCDEX warehouse, as of Dec.18 was 44,307 tonnes, while 1,722 tonnes were in process. For guar gum, demat stocks were at 5,702 tonnes and 20 tonnes in process. The MCX warehouses were stacked up with 2,458 tonnes of guar seed as on Dec.20
On NCDEX, Guar seed Jan. contract traded lower by Rs.7 at Rs.1,674 per quintal. Volume traded so far for Jan. contract was noted at 1,790 tonnes
March contract traded down by Rs.6 at Rs.1,769 per quintal while April contract traded at Rs.1,810 per quintal with a decline of Rs.8
Volume traded for March and April contract was noted at 6,150 tonnes and 2,380 tonnes respectively
On NCDEX, Guar gum Jan. contract traded weaker by Rs.27 at Rs.4,210 per quintal. Volume traded for Jan. contract was noted at 10 tonnes.
March contract traded lower by Rs.20 at Rs.4,428 per quintal while April contract traded at Rs.4,515 per barrel with a decline of Rs.30
Total volume traded for March and April contract was noted at 40 tonnes and 10 tonnes respectively.
