amounts of 0.25-3.00+ inches (6-76+ mm) with the heaviest activity in the
northeast and west coastal areas. Flooding in portions of the region.
Temperatures 84 to 102F (29 to 39C).
FORECAST-
TODAY...Monsoonal rain, showers/thunderstorms, 0.25-2.00+ inches (6-51+ mm),
heaviest in the northeast with some additional flooding. Temperatures 83 to
103F (28 to 39C).
TONIGHT...Showers diminish some overnight.
TOMORROW...Similar conditions to those of today.
OUTLOOK...Rain/showers/thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday, heaviest in
the northeast and west coastal areas. Temperatures warm.
INDIA SUNFLOWER - Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh.
Two crops...November to March and June to September. This crop needs adequate
but not excessive rains during the growing season.
CROP IMPACT: Scattered rains have begun to return to some of the southern India
Sunflower region that was hotter and drier last week. This should help to ease
developing stress but a more widespread rainfall is still needed.
