HONG KONG, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Asian stocks listed on Wall
Street <.BKAS> slipped 0.4 percent, in line with declines in U.S.
shares as lacklustre corporate results early in the U.S.
reporting season raised concerns about the outlook for profits.
Asian firms with U.S. earnings such as Canon Inc
<CAJ.N><7751.T>, Sony Corp <SNE.N><6758.T> and HSBC Holdings
<HBC.N><0005.HK> all fell.
The blue-chip Dow <.DJI> shed 0.6 percent a day after
reaching a record high as Alcoa Inc <AA.N>, the first Dow
component to announce its result, fell after its earnings missed
analysts' estimates.
The market was further pressured by news that Boeing Co
<BA.N> expected delivery delays of its Dreamliner jet.
But the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> climbed
nearly 0.3 percent, helped by further gains in Google <GOOG.O>.
MSCI's measure of Asia Pacific stocks excluding Japan
<.MIAPJ0000PUS> climbed 1.2 percent on Wednesday to reach a fresh
record closing high.
