TAIPEI, July 21 (Reuters) - Here are news stories and press

Shares of major technology exporters are expected to lead the
market lower after disappointing earnings from Google <GOOG.O>
and Microsoft <MSFT.O> pulled the U.S. Nasdaq down more than 1
percent on Friday.

LOCAL PRESS REPORTS
-- State banks are preparing to allocate a combined T$5
billion ($164 million) to buy Taiwan shares, targeting blue-chip
issues, following the local market's recent falls, the Commercial
Times reported, without citing sources.
-- Electronics parts maker Hon Hai Precision Industry Co
<2317.TW> plans to invest in the Kaoshiung harbour of southern
Taiwan to ship some of its products overseas, but Hon Hai
executives declined to give investment details, the Economic
Daily News reported.
