EU grants grains import licences
The European Union's grain management committee this week granted import licences for 1.63 lakh tonnes of maize, 1.91 lakh tonnes of sorghum and 1.18 lakh tonnes of soft wheat. That brings the total volume of maize authorised for import since the start of the season to 7.16 million tonnes.

Total soft wheat imports permitted since July 1 reached 3.31 million tonnes. The import of more than 1.90 lakh tonnes of sorghum brought the total so far this season at 2.37 million tonnes.
