New Delhi, June 29- Potato prices were quoted firm today as well in Delhi and Jalandhar market. Prices are higher in Delhi due to strong demand and despite higher arrivals. Potato prices were quoted higher in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Punjab and Agra markets.
In New Delhi's market, inflow today was registered at 100 truckloads. Here Cold-storage potato was firm at Rs. 600-650 per 80 kg. Delhi traders expect that there are strong chances for a rise in coming days on strong fundamentals
According to Gaurav Kumar, a leading trader in Punjab, selling has weakened and traders are awaiting a rise in prices.
At Jalandhar market in Punjab, cold storage potato was sold at Rs.310-320 per 50 kg. Arrivals in the market were noted at 4 truckloads.
At Agra market of Uttar Pradesh, desi potato got offered at Rs.220-240 per 40 kg, pahadi potato traded at Rs.360-370 per 40 kg, Haldwani-line potato got offered at Rs.450-475 per 40 kg while sugar free potato was sold at Rs.220-240 per 40 kg. Arrival stood at 15-17 truckloads.
