Mutual funds continue selling

Mutual funds (MFs) sold shares worth a net Rs 380.60 crore on Thursday, 13 March 2008, compared to their selling of Rs 494.30 crore on Wednesday, 12 March 2008.

MFs net outflow of Rs 380.60 crore on 13 March 2008 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 647 crore and gross sales Rs 1027.60 crore. The 30-share BSE Sensex slumped 770.63 points or 4.78% at 15,357.35 on that day.

MFs were net sellers of shares worth Rs 1156.60 crore in this month, till 13 March 2008.
