Name of Fund: MIRAE Asset Asia Pacific Opportunities FundScheme: An open-ended diversified equity fund predominantly investing in equity and equity related instruments focusing on investment opportunities in India and other parts of Asia Pacific region.
Objective: The objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of equity and equity related securities in Asia Pacific markets with at least 65% of the corpus investing into Indian markets.
Asset Allocation: The fund will invest 65-100% in Indian equities and equity related securities. The fund will invest 0-35% in equities and equity related securities of the company incorporated or have their area of primary activity in Asia Pacific region. The scheme will make an investment in units of overseas funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) investing into companies incorporated or have their area of primary activity in Asia Pacific region.
The scheme may invest 0-35% in money market instruments and debt securities instruments. The scheme will seek to invest more than 65% of corpus in equity shares of Indian and domestic companies and the balance portion of corpus in foreign equities and domestic debt and money market instruments in order to avail of the prevailing tax benefit of long-term capital gains. However, investments in foreign equities could be lower or in excess of 35% of the corpus subject to SEBI regulations in case of amendment in the tax laws. The Scheme does not propose to invest in securitised debt.
Face Value: Rs 10 per unit with an applicable entry load
Investment Options: The fund offers two plans - regular and institutional. The scheme offers two options i.e. growth and dividend options under each plan. The dividend option shall have the choice of dividend payout, dividend reinvestment, and dividend transfer options.
Entry Load: Under regular plan, the scheme will charge an entry load of 2.25% for the amount less than Rs 5 crore and nil for the investment greater than or equal to Rs 5 crore. Under institutional plan, the scheme will not charge any entry load for the investment of greater than or equal to Rs 5 crore.
Exit Load: Under regular plan, with investment of less than Rs 5 crore, the scheme will charge an exit load of 1.00% if units are redeemed within 6 months from the date of allotment and it will charge 0.50% an exit load for the redemption of investments within 12 months from the date of allotment. Under regular plan, the scheme will not carry any exit load for the investment greater than Rs 5 crore. Under institutional plan, the scheme will not charge any exit load.
Minimum Investment Amount: Minimum investment under regular plan is Rs 5,000 and in multiple of Re 1 thereafter. Under institutional plan, minimum investment is Rs. 5 crore and in multiples of Re.1 thereafter
Fund Manager: The investments under the Scheme will be managed by Mr. Gopal Agrawal for Indian Securities and Mr. Daekyun Mok who will act as the dedicated fund manager for overseas investments.
