Nifty July 2008 futures were at 3960, at a steep discount of 80.55 points as compared to spot closing of 4040.55. NSE's futures & options (F&O;) segment turnover was Rs 40,590.90 crore, which was lower than Rs 45,408.54 crore on Friday, 27 June 2008.

Reliance Communications July 2008 futures were at discount at 440 compared to the spot closing of 442.80.

Larsen & Toubro July 2008 futures were at discount at 2164.05 compared to the spot closing of 2184.70.

Shree Renuka Sugars July 2008 futures were near spot price at 98.65 compared to the spot closing of 98.60.

In the cash market, the S&P; CNX Nifty lost 96.10 points or 2.32% at 4040.55.
