New refining facility on cards
In order to pool their raw sugar and refine in one place and to get better price realisation, co-operative sugar mills in Maharashtra have decided to set up a sugar refining facility near Mumbai, giving access to the metropolis' port facilties. This will give them 'economies of scale' and better prices.
