MUMBAI, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Indian shares extended their
losses to be down by more than 1 percent in afternoon trade on
Wednesday, pulled lower by Reliance Industries <RELI.BO> and
Housing Development Finance Corp <HDFC.BO>.
At 2:39 p.m. (0909 GMT), the 30-share BSE index <.BSESN> was
down 0.7 percent, or 132.83 points, at 18,946.81, with 21
components falling. It fell as much as 1.01 percent.
It opened 0.92 percent up in the morning and had risen as
much as 1.67 percent in early deals.
