Mutual funds in buying mode

Mutual funds (MFs) bought shares worth a net Rs 381.30 crore on Tuesday, 18 December 2007, compared to their selling of Rs 199 crore on Monday, 17 December 2007.

MFs net inflow of Rs 381.30 crore on 18 December 2007 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 895.40 crore and gross sales Rs 514.10 crore. The 30-share BSE Sensex declined 181.71 points or 0.94% to 19,079.64 on that day.

MFs were net buyers of shares worth Rs 131.80 crore in this month, till 17 December 2007.
