Core infrastructure decelerates 6% in September 2007
Six core infrastructure industries edged up 6% in September 2007 as against 10.6% in September 2006.

The growth rate slowed down 6.6% in April-September 2007 from 8.7% in in April-September 2006.

Among the six key infrastructure industries, which contribute 26.7% to the overall industrial growth, production of crude petroleum had the worst performance with a negative growth of 0.7% in September 2007 as against 9.4% in September 2006.
