Mumbai- Guar seed and guar gum futures on National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) eased slightly in early trade Saturday pressurized by speculative selling in the market.
Demat stock of guar seed at the NCDEX warehouse, as of Jan 31 was 55,781 tonnes, while 1,058 tonnes were in process. For guar gum, demat stocks were at 6,162 tonnes. The MCX warehouses were stacked up with 675 tonnes of guar seed as on Jan 31.
On NCDEX, Guar seed March contract shed Re 1 to trade at Rs 1,800 per quintal. Volume traded so far for March contract was noted at 5,710 tonnes
April contract fell by Re 1 to trade at Rs 1,844 per quintal. Total volume traded for April contract was noted at 7,430 tonnes.
On NCDEX, Guar gum March contract traded at Rs 4,344 per quintal after a decline of Rs 7. Volume traded for March contract was noted at 50 tonnes.
April contract shed Rs.6 to trade at Rs.4,425 per quintal. Volume traded for April contract was noted at 120 tonnes.
