Mutual funds in buying mode

Mutual funds (MFs) bought shares worth a net Rs 97.70 crore on Thursday, 6 December 2007, compared to their selling of Rs 296.70 crore on Wednesday, 5 December 2007.

MFs net outflow of Rs 97.70 crore on 6 December 2007 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1203.20 crore and gross sales Rs 1105.60 crore. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 57.80 points or 0.29% to 19,795.87 on that day.

MFs were net buyers of shares worth Rs 224.60 crore in this month, till 6 December 2007.
