Mumbai- Guar seed and guar gum futures traded on National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) plummeted in early trade Wednesday as markets participants booked profits after the gains noted in last few days.
Demat stock of guar seed at NCDEX monitored warehouses, as of March 10 was 62,696 tonnes, while 1,159 tonnes were in process. For guar gum, demat stocks were at 6,608 tonnes while 658 tonnes were in process. The MCX warehouses were stacked up with 60 tonnes of guar seed as on March 10.
On NCDEX, Guar seed March contract slumped Rs 36 to trade at Rs 1,931 per quintal. Volume traded for March contract is noted at 2,570 tonnes.
April contract traded weaker by Rs 41 at Rs 1,997 per quintal. Total volume traded for April contract is noted at 34,350 tonnes.
On NCDEX, Guar gum March contract gave away Rs 51 to trade t Rs 4,725 per quintal. Volume traded for March contract is noted at 20 tonnes.
April contract lowered by Rs 96 to trade at Rs 4,830 per quintal. Volume traded for April contract is noted at 100 tonnes.
