Nifty July 2008 futures were at 4075, at a steep discount of 61.65 points as compared to spot closing of 4136.65. NSE's futures & options (F&O;) segment turnover was Rs 45,408.54 crore, which was lower than Rs 79,103.71 crore on Thursday, 26 June 2008.

Larsen & Toubro July 2008 futures were at discount at 2230 compared to the spot closing of 2265.80.

Bharti Airtel July 2008 futures were at discount at 743.50 compared to the spot closing of 747.95.

Cairn India July 2008 futures were near spot price at 274.65 compared to the spot closing of 275.10.

In the cash market, the S&P; CNX Nifty plunged 179.20 points or 4.15% at 4136.65.
