Gold improves, silver drops
On Saturday, gold prices bounced back while silver dropped to 8 month low in the bullion market. The standard gold was firmed up by Rs 95 per ten gm to Rs 11,700 from 11,605 and pure gold also moved to Rs 11,675 from Rs 11,670. Silver ready dropped further by Rs 335 per kg to Rs 19,875 from Rs 20,210. In Chennai, the bar silver was quoted at Rs 19,505, retail silver was Rs 20.85 per gm, standard gold was at Rs 11,765 while retail ornament gold was sold at Rs 1090.
