Essar Oil, MTNL, NTPC January 2008 futures at premium

Nifty January 2008 futures were at 6160.80 at premium of 16.45 points as compared to spot closing of 6144.35.

The NSE's futures & options (F&O;) segment turnover was Rs 49,163.28 crore, which was higher than Rs 46,186.73 crore on Monday, 31 December 2007.

Essar Oil January 2008 futures were at premium, at 347.45, compared to the spot closing of 343.25.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) January 2008 futures were at premium, at 210.90, compared to the spot closing of 207.90.

NTPC January 2008 futures were at premium, at 258.55, compared to the spot closing of 257.45.

In the cash market, the S&P; CNX Nifty gained 5.75 points or 0.09% at 6144.35.
