D-Link India on 01 December 2007 has inaugurated its new R&D; center at Electronic City, Bangalore. The new R&D; center was inaugurated by N Balakrishanan, associate director, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in the presence of K R Naik, executive chairman of the company, Jangoo Dalai, managing director & CEO of the company and more than 400 of the company's employees and customers.The new R&D; center is spread over an area of 8077 Sq. mtr. and can seat more than 500 employees. The new centre will drive the company's R&D; initiatives in India by focusing on converged IP solutions, business routers & gateways and wireless technology products for the Indian an global markets.
The company's R&D; center has contributed to several successful products, which have found acceptance in markets across USA, South America, Middle East, South East Asia and India. The center is primarily engaged in R&D; across routers, IP-PBX, IP phones, gateways and broadband modems. Some successful products form the R&D; centre include: DRO-200, DRO-210, DRO-250i, DVX-1000, DVX-2500, DVX-3500, DPH-70, DPH-70+, DPH-80, DPH-110, DIV-140, DIV-104 and DIV-122.
