CROP IMPACT: Major sunflower areas of Maharashtra have adequate to surplus soil
moisture and irrigation after above normal Monsoon rainfall in the area.
However, the region has been mostly dry and hotter during recent weeks.
The Andhra Pradesh sunflower areas have had above average Monsoon rains,
favoring this crop.
Tamil Nadu sunflower areas could still benefit from late season Monsoon
rainfall.
