No plan for FDI in multi-brand retailing: Kamal Nath

Trade Minister Kamal Nath on Friday denied there were plans to allow foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand retailing.

Nath met Wal-Mart Vice-Chairman, Mike Duke, and the head of Bharti Enterprises.

The two firms are "very close" to sealing a deal for a retail joint venture, Bharti chief Sunil Mittal said on Friday.
