Mumbai - Guar seed and guar gum futures on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange [NCDEX] slipped Saturday weighed down by weaker cash prices, say traders.
Demat stock at the NCDEX warehouse, as of Nov.28, was 39,993 tonnes, while 540 tonnes were in process. For guar gum, demat stocks were at 5,633 tonnes and 40 tonnes in process. The MCX warehouses were stacked up with 3,130 tonnes as on Nov.28.
On NCDEX, Guar seed Dec. contract dropped by Rs.5 to trade at Rs.1,658 per quintal while Jan. contract traded lower by Rs.6 at Rs.1,705 per quintal.
Total volume traded for Dec. and Jan contract was noted at 1,360 tonnes and 20,060 tonnes respectively.
On NCDEX, Guar gum Dec. contract traded lower by Rs.22 at Rs.4,190 per quintal while Jan. contract traded at Rs.4,275 per quintal after a decline of Rs.17.
Total volume traded for Dec. and Jan contract was noted at 30 tonnes each.
