China soya imports up
China imported 21.7 million tonnes of soyabean in the first 3 quarters of this year, a growth of 2.1% over the year-earlier level. Sources said the arrivals were valued at $7.36 billion, up 32.5%. The import price averaged $339.8 per tonne, up 29.8%.
