Mutual funds continue buying

Mutual funds (MFs) bought shares worth a net Rs 490 crore on Thursday, 3 January 2008, compared to their buying of Rs 295.20 crore on Wednesday, 2 January 2008.

MFs' net inflow of Rs 490 crore on 3 January 2008 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1835.20 crore and gross sales Rs 1345.20 crore. The 30-share BSE Sensex settled 120.10 points or 0.59% lower at 20,345.20 on that day.

MFs were net buyers of shares worth Rs 968.80 crore in this month, till 3 January 2008.
