J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals leads gainers in 'A' group

Pharmaceuticals firm J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals soared 7.94% to Rs 81.55. It topped the gainers in the BSEs A group shares. The stocks moved up after a block deal of 28 lakh shares was struck at Rs 72 on BSE.

Another pharmaceutical firm Nicholas Piramal India gained 7.29% to Rs 368.15. It was the second biggest gainer in A group.

Gujarat-based power generatiion firm Gujarat Industries Power Company spurted 6.17% to Rs 123.05 and it stood third among top gainers in A group.

State run power generation firm Neyveli Lignite Corporation rose 5.89% to Rs 246.20. It came fourth among top gainers in A group.

State-run refining-cum-marketing firm Bharat Petroleum Corporation rose 5.29% to Rs 418.20. It was the fifth biggest gainer in A group.
