SYDNEY, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Australian shares were little
changed on Thursday, with top miner BHP Billiton Ltd <BHP.AX>
firmer on stronger base metal prices, offsetting losses in recent
strong gainers such as the banks.
The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index <.AXJO> nudged down 4.2
points to 6,734.1 by 0003 GMT, after gaining 0.9 percent on
Wednesday to set its second straight all-time closing peak.
