Mumbai- Mentha oil futures on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) traded slightly higher Thursday after ending in red for previous two trading sessions.
According to traders, trade activity is sluggish in leading spot markets amid average arrival and weaker buying interest. This has affected mentha futures as well hence weak trade is being witnessed.
Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) monitored warehouses as on Feb 5 stored 11,66,102 kg physical stock of mentha oil while demat stock was at 1,05,995 kg. The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange [NCDEX] warehouses stacked up to 83,018 kg in demat stock till Feb 5.
On MCX, mentha oil Feb contract moved up by Rs 0.50 to trade at Rs.453.10 per kg. Volume traded for Feb contract was noted at 51 lots.
March contract rose Rs 1.70 to trade at Rs 462.50 per kg. Volume traded for March contract was jotted at 20 lots.
