Precious metals fall further
Gold and silver declined further on the local bullion market on Saturday on persistent selling pressure from stockists.

Standard gold dropped by Rs 40 per 10 gm to end at Rs 10140 from Rs 10180. Pure gold fell to Rs 10190 from Rs 10230. Silver ready also slipped by Rs 245 per kg to Rs 18625 from Rs 18870.

In Chennai, bar silver traded at Rs 18270, retail silver at Rs 19.55 per gm, standard gold at Rs 10185 and retail ornament gold at Rs 944 per gm.
