MILAN, Dec 18 (Reuters) - The following factors could affect
Italian markets on Tuesday.

ALITALIA <AZPIa.MI>
Alitalia's board will meet on Tuesday to gauge rival plans
by suitors Air One and Air France-KLM in yet another attempt to
find a buyer for the state-owned carrier losing a million euros
a day.
However, with Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi meeting
French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Thursday ahead of a meeting
of Italy's cabinet, Tuesday's board seems unlikely to take a
definitive decision, as had been expected.

Trade unions meet on Alitalia at 1430 GMT. Alitalia board
meets at 1500 GMT
* Intesa Sanpaolo <ISP.MI> CEO Corrado Passera, who backs Air
One's offer for Alitalia, tells La Repubblica in an interview
choosing Air France's bid would mean "cancelling" Alitalia.
Passera adds that Air One's business plan for Alitalia targets a
yearly growth of 3.5 percent.
* Il Sole 24 says a decision on Alitalia's partner may be
delayed to January to avoid chaos at airports over Christmas.
A consortium led by investment fund Evergreen has withdrawn
its interest in bidding for Alitalia <AZPIa.MI>, the carrier
said in a statement.

* LOTTOMATICA <LTO.MI>
Lottomatica CEO Marco Sala tells Il Sole 24 Ore in an
interview revenues from traditional lottery games will top 6
billion euros this year while revenues from instant lotteries
will double from last year to hit 8 billion euros. Sala says he
expects revenues in instant lotteries to continue to grow in
2008.
* UNICREDIT <CRDI.MI>
UniCredit CEO Alessandro Profumo expects liquidity
conditions to return to normal levels between the end of this
year and March/April, he said later on Monday.
ENEL <ENEI.MI>, TERNA <TRN.MI> Electricity demand in Italy hit a new record high on Monday
as a cold wave swept across the country, prompting people to
turn up their heating, power grid operator Terna <TRN.MI> said.

Spain's Abertis <ABE.MC> hopes to decide whether to revive a
plan to merge with Italian highway firm Atlantia by late January
but will not be ruled by the pressure of that deadline.
