Mutual funds in buying mode in equities

Mutual funds (MFs) bought shares worth a net Rs 138.40 crore on Tuesday, 20 November 2007, compared to their selling of Rs 255.40 crore on Monday, 19 November 2007.

MFs net inflow of Rs 138.40 crore on 20 November 2007 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1004.30 crore and gross sales Rs 865.90 crore. The 30-share BSE Sensex lost 352.56 points or 1.8% at 19,280.80 on that day.

MFs were net buyers of shares worth Rs 178.30 crore in this month, till 20 November 2007.
