Mumbai Guar seed and guar gum futures gave up yesterdays gains and returned to the weaker side as traders and speculators preferred booking profits during initial hours of trade on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange [NCDEX] Friday.
NCDEX September guar seed opened down Rs 12 at Rs 1,632/quintal, and tossed between Rs 1,601 and Rs 1,634/quintal. At 10.42 am IST, the contract traded down Rs 22 at Rs 1,622/quintal with a volume 1920 tonnes.
Benchmark November guar seed opened down Rs four at Rs 1,726/quintal, and fluctuated between Rs 1,708 and Rs 1,728/quintal. At 10.43 am IST, the contract traded down Rs 16 at Rs 1,714/quintal with a volume of 22,640 tonnes.
NCDEX September guar gum opened down Rs 101 at Rs 4,019/quintal, and tossed between Rs 4,015 and Rs 4,080/quintal. At 10.35 am IST, the contract traded down Rs 40 at Rs 4,080/quintal with a volume of 85 tonnes.
Benchmark November guar gum opened down Rs 36 at Rs 4,275/quintal, and saw movement between Rs 4,261 and Rs 4,280/quintal. At 10.41 am IST, the contract traded down Rs 31 at Rs 4,280/quintal with a volume of 180 tonnes.
