MELBOURNE, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Australian shares fell 1.5
percent on Wednesday, as miners slid on falling metals prices and
banks fell on fresh worries about U.S. banks' ability to cope
with mortgage losses.
The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index gave up 74.6 points to close
at 4,905.5, according to the latest data.
New Zealand's NZX-50 index <.NZ50> fell 32.5 points, or 1
percent, to 3,343.86.
