Mumbai - Guar seed and guar gum futures on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange [NCDEX] traded with modest gains during early trade Saturday.
Guar futures edged up as traders indulged in fresh buying and short covering in the market.
Demat stock at the NCDEX warehouse, as of Nov.21, was 40,402 tonnes, while 1,094 tonnes were in process. For guar gum, demat stocks were at 5,928 tonnes and 10 tonnes in process. The MCX warehouses were stacked up with 3,369 tonnes as on Nov.21
On NCDEX, Guar seed Dec. contract inched up by Re.1 to trade at Rs.1,613 per quintal while Jan. contract rose by Rs.3 to trade at Rs.1,656 per quintal.
Total volume traded for Dec. and Jan contract was noted at 2,370 tonnes and 9,640 tonnes respectively.
On NCDEX, Guar gum Jan. contract traded higher by Rs.15 at Rs.4,165 per quintal. Total volume traded Jan contract was noted at 100 tonnes.
