Mutual funds' selling continues

Mutual funds (MFs) sold shares worth a net Rs 231.70 crore on Friday,19 October 2007, compared to their selling of Rs 265.50 crore on Thursday, 18 October 2007.

MFs net sales of Rs 231.70 crore on 19 October 2007 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1037.30 crore and gross sales Rs 1269 crore. The 30-shares BSE Sensex settled 438.41 points or 2.44% lower at 17,559.98 on that day.

MFs were net sellers of shares worth Rs 3456.30 crore in this month, till 19 October 2007.
