MUMBAI, July 11 (Reuters) - Shares of Lotus Eye Care
Hospital Ltd <LOTS.BO> <LOTS.NS> on Friday listed at 37 rupees
on the BSE, 2.6 percent lower from its initial public offer
price of 38 rupees each.
At 9:55 a.m., the shares were trading at 35.10 rupees, off a
low of 33.30 rupees, as 319,170 shares traded hands.
Lotus, based in the south Indian city of Coimbatore, raised
380 million rupees through its 10-million share issue.
The eye care chain will use the proceeds to part-finance
expansion of its existing units and to set up new units in
Chennai and Bangalore. Lotus' presence is currently concentrated
in Coimbatore, Salem and Tirupur, all in Tamil Nadu.
