Vietnam to up seafood exports
Vietnam plans to reap about $4.3 billion from exporting seafood in 2008, up about 13.3% against 2007. Vietnam will strengthen seafood export to both traditional markets such as the US, Japan, South Korea and European Union and potential ones including China, East European countries and South-East Asian nations.

United States annually spends about $12 billion importing seafood from different foreign countries and the European Union around $34 billion.
