Nagpur, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Selected edible oil continued its downward march 
in Vidarbha region of Western Maharashtra on lack of demand from traders. Profit 
taking selling by stockists at higher level, fresh fall in American soya digam 
prices and easy condition on Madhya Pradesh oil market also affected prices. 
Trading activity was reported thin as traders adopted wait and watch move, 
sources said Saturday.

    VIDARBHA MARKETS 
    OILS 
    * Soya and Cottonseed oil showed weak tendency on poor buying support from 
      local traders. Release of stock from stockists and fresh fall in Madhya 
      Pradesh soya oil also affected prices. 
    * Groundnut loose, Groundnut refined, Sunflower refined, Linseed, Castor 
      and Coconut KP oil prices reported steady in thin trading activity. 
    * Traders expect nearly steady trend in major edible oil in Vidarbha. 
    SOYMEAL 
    * Prices nosedived in Vidarbha region on poor buying support from traders. 
      Profit-taking selling by stockists at higher level and easy condition on 
      international edible oil also affected prices in thin trading activity. 
    SOYABEAN 
    * Soybean prices in the Nagpur Agriculture Produce and Marketing Committee 
      (APMC) reported down on poor demand from local crushing plants. Release 
      of stock from stockists, sharp fall in soymeal and weak trend in soya oil 
      forced to pull down prices. Fresh fall in Madhya Pradesh soya prices also 
      affected sentiment. High moisture content soya was available at Rs 15,300 
      per tonne in Nagpur. 
    * About one lac bags reported for auction in major soya mandi in 
      Vidarbha, sources said Friday.
