Nifty February 2007 futures settled at 4053, a steep discount of 29.70 points over the spot closing of 4,082.70.
Tata Steel February 2007 futures settled at a premium, at 465.20, compared to the spot closing of Rs 462. It was the most active contract having a turnover of Rs 1439.48 crore.
Reliance Industries (RIL) February 2007 futures settled at a premium, at 1,367.10, compared to the spot closing of Rs 1,363.50.
SBI February 2007 futures settled at a premium, at 1146, compared to the spot closing of Rs 1137.40.
IDBI February 2007 futures settled at a premium, at 101.85, compared to the spot closing of Rs 100.95.
In the cash market, Nifty slipped 41.75 points (1.01%), at 4,082.70.
The percentage of cumulative FII-positions measured with respect to gross market positions in the derivative segment (till 29 January 2007), was 33.76%.
